Are you interested in entrepreneurship in the creative industry? Would you like to learn how to take over an existing business and successfully continue or grow it?
During this elective, you will learn step by step what is involved in starting a business in the creative industry. Many creative businesses face challenges in finding successors, creating opportunities for a new generation of entrepreneurs. You will explore how to identify business opportunities, evaluate an existing company, and develop ideas to start your own company and collaborate with others. Allowing you to develop your own ideas while also learning how to collaborate effectively in a professional environment.
From Theory to Practice
Entrepreneurship is best learned through experience. During this elective you will learn the basic fundamentals of entrepreurship like marketing, communication, sales and finance. You will develop plans for starting a business and put your ideas into practice through a trial launch (try-out).
The try-out will allow you to test your concepts with potential customers and gather feedback. This hands-on approach helps you understand the opportunities and challenges involved in running and growing a creative business.
